There was a guest on Lawrence O’Donnell’s “The Last Word” last night, Heather McGhee, Director of DEMOS in D.C., that said of this $38 billion in cuts that supposedly was agreed upon last Friday, had Congress the courage to eliminate the estate tax there would be enough revenue from that so none of the items in this $38 billion would have to be cut. Only the wealthiest of Americans are affected by this tax; those whose income exceeds $5 million annually
