Republicans Want to Give George Bush Credit for the Taking Down of bin Laden

The Republicans want us to believe that it is President Obama’s fault for the economy  to go in the tank. But with the recent take down of Osama bin Laden, they want to give the credit to George W. Bush. Back in  2005, Bush gave up on going after bin Laden. Of course he won the election in 2004, so why did he give a crap if they found him or not.

Crooks and Liars has good take on what the Bush administration was doing about it, or not doing about it. In 2008, Obama made the promise that he would hunt him down, and he kept his promise. A president with a spine.

  1. Do not throw anything at me….but…..he should be mentioned….he started the process and Obama finished it……beyond that Bush has NO other claim to this success….

    • The problem is… that Bush got involved in Iraq and clearly stated he was not all that concerned about Osama’s whereabouts. President Obama made it his mission to end the Iraq war, which we should not have even been involved in and go after Osama.

      • Going to war with Iraq was on Bush’s to do list long before he became president. For some of the Republicans to give the credit for killing bin laden, is just sour grapes on their part. You know damn well the Republicans are still pissed off for losing the 2008 election.

    • i agree with giving bush credit, this was his idea to send the troops to catch bid laden, and they did, bush kept reminding people that the troops were going to taken him down. obama had nothing to do with this, don’t forget obama was going to remove the troops out in july.
      i think this is a conspiracy theory, obama’s rating in poles were going down, isn’t now that he has to put his name back into the election? and all of a suddent they find and take down bid laden? now this makes obama a winner? i see it the BUSH is the winner

      • Bush put a stop to the CIA operation looking for Bin Laden, and that was back in 2005. You just don’t want to give Obama the credit he deserves.
