The Tea Party Patriots wants the public schools to teach the Constitution their way, meaning as they read it, and see it. Their idea is to have the writings and views by the late W. Leon Skousen, who’s views are blatantly racial.
Lets hope that local school boards across the nation don’t approve of the way the Tea Party asses, are trying to do things.
I saw an interesting slogan the other day. “Those who can teach… Those who can’t make laws about teaching.”
Lets hope the Tea Party nut bags don’t get their way, if they do, it would lead to ‘the dumbming down of America.’
Hell, we’ve been in the process of dumbing down for some time now. My partner is an English teacher’s aid for an online university. She is constantly telling me horror stories about her students. Most don’t know the difference between a short story and a poem, while half the students do not know what plagiarism is. It’s scary to see what’s happening in education today!
I always laugh at their claim to be Tea Party Patriots, I’m sticking to my name for them – Tea Party Terrorists.
