John McCain told Mike Wallace of Fox News fame, that Palin can beat Obama in ’12. Of course Grandpa McCain went to say that she has been mercilessly and relentlessly attacked. She also inspires great passion. Yeah right. (my emphasis)
He got to be kidding. But he did pick her for his running mate so I guess he would say anything. She fired up the base – but did not pull anyone else over to her voting side.

Just from the perspective of handicapping the race, I think she has a non-zero probability of winning. That chance is small as of now though.
For it to happen I think the economy would have to trip back into recession, maybe Iran get the bomb, something like that.
I don’t want to see any of those things happen, but I don’t think Obama or his supporter should be over confident even against an extremist like Palin.
Palin will not run. She is too smart for that.
She’d rather make her money at Fox with her asinine comments.
Unfortunately, John has proved to be a far better POW than a politician.
I almost respected the guy until he chose Palin to help him lose.
I do respect the man on his views on torture, but on other stuff, not so much.
McCain was groggy from his nap! Someone with a 60% disapproval can not win.
