The NY Times has reported, that NJ Governor Chris Christie will not seek the presidency, and will make an official announcement at 1:00 p.m. (10-4-11).
This should be a big let down for the Tea Party, and others in the GOP.

This should be a big let down for the Tea Party, and others in the GOP.
This will let down the GOP establishment a lot more then the TEA party. He may be a good candidate in the future, but he currently has barely more experience then Barack had when he ran (of course executive experience is worth a lot more then 1 year in the senate).
I felt all along that Christie would not run.
I think he knows how this game is played and saying “now is not my time” is spot on.
It is a smart move on his part.
Regardless of the reason, I’m glad to see him stand up for what he has said all along
