Back in the day when he was alive, and on TV. go on…
same here -on TV- not old enough to go to concerts back then. Own a few Miles-Stones (yep that one too) on vinyl.
was trying to get a laugh out of you and Tony
The first concert I went to was in Boston, back in 1972, to see the Allman Brothers Band, at the once Music Hall. The tickets then cost $6.50. Before that, there was the free concerts on Cambridge Common which was on Sunday afternoons. Where did those days go to.
I am laughing now. go on…
Gotcha Hon! First concert I saw was Peter Frampton, J Geils and Foghat… was 13 and my girlfriend and I lied to our parents heh. Used to sneak into the The Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach to hear great jazz (was years later good enough to play there) at that age too. Could pass for 21 with big dark glasses and the boobs lol. Gotta love the 70′s.
Hell when I moved to NYC went to see the Mets every home game and decent seats were $6.50, this was about 1982.
Where did those days go indeed!?
Miles Davis is a treasure … and that is a classic tune.
That album is on display in my living room – always
