Advertising: the science of arresting the human intelligence long enough to get money from it. — Stephen Leacock
What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do. — Bob Dylan
From my email inbox:
slowly reached down into the cleavage created by a soft, silky push-up bra, and
pulled out a crumpled Twenty Dollar bill.
She then asked him, “Have you ever seen Fifty Dollars all crumpled up?”
reached into her tight, sheer panties… and pulled out a crumpled Fifty Dollar bill.
“Now,” she said, “have you ever seen $50,000 Dollars all crumpled up?”
“No way!” he said, while obviously becoming even more aroused and excited,
to which she replied…………
“Go look in the garage,” .
“I spent three days a week for 10 years educating myself in the public library, and it’s better than college. People should educate themselves – you can get a complete education for no money. At the end of 10 years, I had every book in the library and I’d written a thousand stories.”

America… just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable.
- Hunter S. Thompson (1937-2005)
Coffee leads men to trifle away their time, scald their chops, and spend their money, all for a little base, black, thick, nasty, bitter, stinking nauseous puddle of water.
- The Women’s Petition Against Coffee, 1674
In today’s materialistic society, if you have money and power, you seem to have many friends. But they are not friends of yours; they are the friends of your money and power. When you lose your wealth and influence, you will find it very difficult to track these people down.

Advertising may be described as the science of arresting human intelligence long enough to get money from it.
It is money, money, money! Not ideas, not principles, but money that reigns supreme in American politics.
There is one rule for the industrialist and that is: Make the best quality of goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the highest wages possible.
President Obama walked out of the Debt Ceiling meeting, as Eric Cantor was being very rude. It was reported that Cantor interrupted Obama three times, while the President was wrapping things up. Canto claims that Obama stormed out, but Nancy Pelosi says that is not true, and was really pissed off on how Cantor was acting. By the way, Cantor has already walked out twice on Obama. Cantor should grow up, act like an adult, or get the hell out of Washington.

House Republican Paul Ryan defends his budget blueprint, medicare overhaul.
In a speech before the Economic Club of Chicago, the Wisconsin Republican maintained, “We cannot avert a debt crisis unless we directly address the rising cost of health.”
Ryan said his plan to overhaul Medicare would “give power to deny business to inefficient providers. [Democrats] plan is to give government the power to deny care to seniors.”
When Florida Governor Rick Scott refused to take money from the Obama administration for high speed rail, he said that it would ‘create Palinsque like death panels’. He’s the same governor who said ‘that if Florida accepted the money, and built the rail line, there would be a catch to it.’ In essence, the state of Florida would end up paying for it, which was not true.
Walker of Wisconsin, came up with some lame excuse not to take the money, to improve the rail system between Milwaukee and Madison, so as to cut down on the length of time.
So the money they refused to take, along with Ohio, some of that money was awarded to Massachusetts, Maine and a couple of other states, that want to improve their rail lines.
I’m hopeful that the voters in the Republican states, either recall, or vote them out in 2012, and never to be heard from again.
Brave New Films has video about the Koch Brothers, and it kind of pisses you off when hear what the people have to say. It is also sad how the people are scrimping and saving the while the Kochs live in luxury.
