Concerning Boston Marathon Bomber Manhunt

Concerning the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bomber, I decided not blog about  it, as I felt that just about every living person on the planet has seen, heard and read about it. The Boston TV stations have been on it since it this awful event happened. Myself, I can only watch it for so long, and then change the channel to watch something else. Also, am very selective to read online, and in the local newspaper, which is a joke, but that’s story for another time.

I feel bad for the families that lost relatives, and also for the injured, severe and the less severe.

As for the Westboro Baptist Church assholes, the ones that picket certain funerals, want to come to Boston. My advice, stay the fuck away, as you are not wanted.

For the readers of my blog want to read anything about the bombing and manhunt, here is a link (in bold) for The Boston Globe. For the time being, it is free for anyone to peruse. It has all the up to date info, plus videos, photos and slide shows.

Darrell Issa Compares His All-Male Anti-Contraception Panel To Martin Luther King

Darrell Issa compares himself to Martin Luther King Jr? It would be a cold day in hell for that to happen…

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) has been catching flack for holding a panel today relating to women’s access to birth control that featured zero women, but Issa won’t let the fact that few Americans agree with his position deter him. Taking to Twitter this evening, he fired back with a always-appropriate Martin Luther [...]/p

In New Hampshire A Parent Can Object To The Way A Teacher Instructs

The NH legislature over rode Governor Lynch’s veto, a law that now allows any parent of child in a NH public school, to request the way the student(s) are taught.

Buzz Flash

In what is now  a law in the Granite State, through a veto override last week, parents can object to any part of a public school cirriculum and have it replaced for their child. Perhaps born of a Tea Party nod to home schooling, it’s really an attempt to turn public education into anarchy. Read more…

This Isn’t The Ending Anyone Could Have Forseen For Joe Paterno / LA Times

Joe Paterno 2006

As a follower for more years than I can remember, it is hard to fathom what is going through Joe Paterno’s mind, after one of his long time assistant coaches, was arrested for sexual misconduct with minors. Paterno just recently got win number 409, making him coach with the most wins all-time, passing Grambling’s Eddie Robinson.

LA Times

It is almost impossible to overestimate the impact Joe Paterno has had on Penn State since he joined Rip Engle’s staff in as a 23-year-old assistant in 1950.

Sixty-two years in one place, with one love, with one purpose – to win and act the right way.

So how does it all go wrong in four days?

It is impossible to overestimate how shocking the revelations of the weekend have been to the Penn State community and a community at large.

Paterno turns 85 on Dec. 21 and they were a thousand ways to imagine how his career mind end. This one was not on the list.  Read more…
