Representative James McGovern a Massachusetts Democrat, says the following quote about cuts concerning Social Security:
“I’m frustrated as hell that you’ve got members of Congress talking about cutting benefits for Social Security recipients when they had nothing to do with this economic mess we’re in.”
I agree with his quote, as the Social Security tax that we the workers have been, some still paying into it, has nothing to do with the deficit, as it is separate from the overall budget.
So why are the Republicans so adamantly for cutting back or killing SS? Do they think we are living the high life? Not.
One think the Republicans don’t want to do is piss off granny, as they will come back right at you.
What goes around, comes around.

President Obama walked out of the Debt Ceiling meeting, as Eric Cantor was being very rude. It was reported that Cantor interrupted Obama three times, while the President was wrapping things up. Canto claims that Obama stormed out, but Nancy Pelosi says that is not true, and was really pissed off on how Cantor was acting. By the way, Cantor has already walked out twice on Obama. Cantor should grow up, act like an adult, or get the hell out of Washington.

President Barack Obama walked out of a contentious meeting in ongoing talks to raise the nation’s debt limit on Wednesday, an aide tells Reuters. Read more..
Just a sampling of what the uneducated morons post on Fox News.

June saw a payroll hike of 18,000.
The unemployment rate went up to 9.2%.
Not looking good at all.
With all that said; “Where are the jobs?” the Republicans promised back in November & January…waiting for an answer that we will never get.
It has a funny ending!

A study done by two Harvard U researches suggest that, children attending a July 4th festivity, will more likely become a Republican, according to an article in The Huffington Post.
I’ve attended many July 4th celebrations, and I never became a Republican.
Brave New Films, has a put a new video, with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, exposing the Koch Bros., with their funding of wanting to raise the retirement age to 70. They also are pushing to privatize it too. Watch the video:
Barbara Shantee, Ph.D., gives a her reasons why some Christians are full of hatred.
Over the last few years, the media has been filled with speculation about the assassination of Dr. Tiller and the Tucson shootings. There is a lot of discussion about the divisive discourse in this country that they could have led to such violence. There is speculation that, on the face of it, these killers are mentally unbalanced. More…
I’ve posted something similar to this, but this post has a lot more to it.

Sarah Palin is going down in the polls, after her bungling of the Paul Revere Ride.
Hopefully the downward trend will continue, and she will turn out to be just a footnote in history.
Politicususa
The new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll has some bad news for Sarah Palin. Thanks to Paul Revere, her orchestrated publicity tour over Memorial Day weekend managed to lower her approval rating to 24%. more….
Here’s a video that all Liberals, Democrats and Progressives should watch. Bill Clinton really gives it to Chris Wallace, as Clinton wouldn’t let Wallace to try and cut him off.
Sarah Palin calls President Obama and Nancy Pelosi liars, and says the Republicans are trying to “save” Medicare while the Democrats are killing it. Ms. Palin called the President a liar. This woman, who has told the truth less often than she tells lies, this person who lies about the weather in her own book, this serial liar, has called the President a liar on national TV.
When Patrick McHenry called Elizabeth Warren a liar twice, and never had the decency to apologize, then their is a serious disconnect. In Politicususa, Sarah Jones has a well written piece about McHenry, and none of it is any good.
GOP Congressman Paul Broun of Georgia said they shouldn’t raise the debt ceiling, unless they abolish the Departments of Energy and Education. Brilliant. Just what the hell are these GOP ass clowns smoking?
Saxby Chambliss is getting a lot of grief from the right-wing fringe, for trying to work out a deal to lower the deficit ceiling. Chambliss should never been a senator in the first place, when he ran a disgraceful campaign against a war vet and an honorable man.
The fringe of the right wing has completely lost it.

How low can people go, threatening the high school girl that wants to debate Michele Bachmann. According to Alternet, the girl is honor student, and writes for the student school paper.
To be threatened with rape, and the Tea Party does jack shit about, is intolerable.

House Republican Paul Ryan defends his budget blueprint, medicare overhaul.
In a speech before the Economic Club of Chicago, the Wisconsin Republican maintained, “We cannot avert a debt crisis unless we directly address the rising cost of health.”
snip—
Ryan said his plan to overhaul Medicare would “give power to deny business to inefficient providers. [Democrats] plan is to give government the power to deny care to seniors.”
The Tea Party Patriots wants the public schools to teach the Constitution their way, meaning as they read it, and see it. Their idea is to have the writings and views by the late W. Leon Skousen, who’s views are blatantly racial.
Lets hope that local school boards across the nation don’t approve of the way the Tea Party asses, are trying to do things.
Karoli has a great article in Crooks and Liars, that the Conservatives should get over themselves, as for the poet Common appearing at the White House.
The Conservatives are great for reading or hearing something, and then blow it all up, into false accusations. But where was these so-called family values types, when in 2008, Ted Nugent went off his rocket, ranting all kinds of awful shit about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Never heard a peep out of them.
Its downright disgusting they way they act.
Ann Davidow in Buzz Flash, has a great piece in the Republicans contorted language, that actually makes no sense at all.
For the Tea Party people who don’t get it right, or fail at what they do, they just keep on doing and saying the same thing over and over again, even though they are wrong.
When Florida Governor Rick Scott refused to take money from the Obama administration for high speed rail, he said that it would ‘create Palinsque like death panels’. He’s the same governor who said ‘that if Florida accepted the money, and built the rail line, there would be a catch to it.’ In essence, the state of Florida would end up paying for it, which was not true.
Walker of Wisconsin, came up with some lame excuse not to take the money, to improve the rail system between Milwaukee and Madison, so as to cut down on the length of time.
So the money they refused to take, along with Ohio, some of that money was awarded to Massachusetts, Maine and a couple of other states, that want to improve their rail lines.
I’m hopeful that the voters in the Republican states, either recall, or vote them out in 2012, and never to be heard from again.
Rachel Maddow, makes a good point about Conservative media bias, on the Sunday morning talk show. It was a ratio of 3-1, in favor of the talking heads, from the Bush adminisration. A total of nine Republicans and only 3 Democrats were on the shows this past Sunday.
Bill Maher has had enough of the right wing false and negativity talk on his show, and he wants to put a stop to it. David Frum was putting his usual Republican spin on it, but Maher and Michael Eric Dyson would have none of it.
With Eliot Spitzer not taking any bullshit from John Yoo, formerly with the Bush administration, with his nonsense on how Obama went about wrong on nailing Bin Laden, and saying Bush was the one who knew how to fight terrorism, when in fact, Bush called off the CIA operation in 2005.
Its good to see that Maher and Spitzer can see right through these guys.
Before the first so-called Republican debate in Greenville, SC the right wing loons had a Tea Party rally, and among them were the Oath Keepers. They have what they call the 10 points of rules that in essence, are rules and laws not to be obeyed. Read them. Its crazy and quite frankly scary.
Some of the speakers were; SC Governor Nicki Haley, Roy Moore of the 10 Commandments fame, and a few other whack jobs.
Paul Ryan, the anointed budget writer for the GOP led House, accuses ThinkProgress of “Stacking Crowds” at his town hall meetings in his home state of Wisconsin.
When the Democrats was having their town hall meetings in 2009, it was alright for the Tea Baggers, and other right wing loons, to scream, shout, and wreak all kinds of havoc. But when the Republicans have town hall meetings, they say people are bussed in to disrupt them, and its not right to do that. Well Ryan, all I can say is “Pay Back is a Bitch.”
The House Republicans are acting like spoiled school children, as they refuse to pass a resolution to honor the military, and the Navy Seals. They should get over it that Osama bin Laden was caught and killed under Obama’s watch, and not George Bush. I just have to wonder what the hell goes through their minds.
The Republicans want us to believe that it is President Obama’s fault for the economy to go in the tank. But with the recent take down of Osama bin Laden, they want to give the credit to George W. Bush. Back in 2005, Bush gave up on going after bin Laden. Of course he won the election in 2004, so why did he give a crap if they found him or not.
Crooks and Liars has good take on what the Bush administration was doing about it, or not doing about it. In 2008, Obama made the promise that he would hunt him down, and he kept his promise. A president with a spine.
With some of the top Republicans giving their take, and congratulations on the killing of bin Laden, only one mentioned President Barack Obama by name. That was Tim Pawlenty. I congratulate for that. The rest; Romney, Bachmann, Santorum, and others, gave thanks for killing bin Laden, but no mention of the president. To think if it was a Republican in the White House, they’d be heaping praise on the president. Then we have Fox news saying, that the photos of bin laden are fake. Again, Obama can get no respect from these degenerate assholes.
Michael Tomasky a brilliant writer for the Guardian, has made his final video, as he is leaving the paper. The Guardian is losing a respected man, and I love his writing, and also the video blogs that he made. You can find his writings and videos, in the ‘Comment is Free’ section of the Guardian.
Paul Ryan can take the heat at his ‘town hall meetings’ as he slipped out another door after the meeting was over, because the car he came in was surrounded by angry protesters. He also got upset, because the people in the hall, were getting loud, and he asked them to tone it down, or else they can leave. But it was alright when the Democrats were being heckled and shouted down, by the Tea Party jerks.
Read it at Crooks and Liars
Florida GOP Rep., Daniel Webster got a good earful from his constituents, concerning the Paul Ryan budget. These people are angry as hell, and here is giving
