House Republican Paul Ryan defends his budget blueprint, medicare overhaul.
In a speech before the Economic Club of Chicago, the Wisconsin Republican maintained, “We cannot avert a debt crisis unless we directly address the rising cost of health.”
snip—
Ryan said his plan to overhaul Medicare would “give power to deny business to inefficient providers. [Democrats] plan is to give government the power to deny care to seniors.”
When Florida Governor Rick Scott refused to take money from the Obama administration for high speed rail, he said that it would ‘create Palinsque like death panels’. He’s the same governor who said ‘that if Florida accepted the money, and built the rail line, there would be a catch to it.’ In essence, the state of Florida would end up paying for it, which was not true.
Walker of Wisconsin, came up with some lame excuse not to take the money, to improve the rail system between Milwaukee and Madison, so as to cut down on the length of time.
So the money they refused to take, along with Ohio, some of that money was awarded to Massachusetts, Maine and a couple of other states, that want to improve their rail lines.
I’m hopeful that the voters in the Republican states, either recall, or vote them out in 2012, and never to be heard from again.
Paul Ryan, the anointed budget writer for the GOP led House, accuses ThinkProgress of “Stacking Crowds” at his town hall meetings in his home state of Wisconsin.
When the Democrats was having their town hall meetings in 2009, it was alright for the Tea Baggers, and other right wing loons, to scream, shout, and wreak all kinds of havoc. But when the Republicans have town hall meetings, they say people are bussed in to disrupt them, and its not right to do that. Well Ryan, all I can say is “Pay Back is a Bitch.”
Paul Ryan can take the heat at his ‘town hall meetings’ as he slipped out another door after the meeting was over, because the car he came in was surrounded by angry protesters. He also got upset, because the people in the hall, were getting loud, and he asked them to tone it down, or else they can leave. But it was alright when the Democrats were being heckled and shouted down, by the Tea Party jerks.

“Wisconsin is Republican broke, but it’s not broke,” said Mordecai Lee, a UW-Milwaukee political science professor and former Democratic state lawmaker. “Broke suggests near bankruptcy.” (Sourced: (The Wisconsin State Journal)

This smells a lot like what happened in the 2000 Florida debacle. The Waukesha County clerk announced the results in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election was mistaken, and she came up the new vote tally for that county. The DOJ should be looking into her shenanigans, as she has been in deep shit before, and to me she is not one to be trusted.

This is down right disgusting, what some Conservatives are saying about a school teacher that recently committed suicide in Wisconsin. How low can these so called Republicans/Conservatives go? And, if you can stomach it, read the vile comments which are below the article.
Read it at Thump and Whip which is a progressive blog.
Rush Limbaugh is all nerved up about some conservatives who don’t like Sarah Palin. Of course Limbaugh thinks that Palin would be a good president. Then he goes on to say that President Obama and the Democratic Party, are destroying this country. No Rush, it’s not president and the Democratic Party that is destroying this country, it is you, and likes of you with your garbage filled mouth and hatred for the president, and anyone who is a Democrat, Liberal and or Progressive.
What’s been going on in Wisconsin, and a couple of other states, with their GOP governors, and Republican led state assemblies, is unconscionably at best, at what they have done to the unionized workers, the teachers, firefighters, police, trash collectors, and who ever else has jobs with the city, town or state. These people give it their all, and they are not breaking the bank, as far as wages, pensions, etc., etc. Shame on those Republicans who were voted into office, to serve and work with their respective constituents, instead of sticking it up their asses, and think nothing of it.
The reason why this country is in deep shit, is that we had eight years of Bush and Company, with the tax breaks and give away to the idle 1% percent, while the rest of the people get the crumbs. The Republicans keep saying that if you keep giving tax breaks to the idle rich, and the big corporations, then the jobs will be there. So far, that has not really happened. What has happened is that health care premiums keep going up, more foreclosures, more people going on food stamps, and whatever help they can get, and the Republican Party keeps turning a blind eye, like it will just go away by itself.
Do the Democrats want to cut and/or abolish Social Security? Of course not. The Republicans want to do away with it, because they think there is no need for it. So, what is a retiree to do, if the Republicans got their way, since most IRAs went into the tank, and are virtually worthless. It’s just a sad situation right now, and it is going to get worse, if we keep listening to the GOP, Limbaugh, the neanderthals at Fox “Propaganda” News, and any other right-wing jackasses who don’t know any better.
Rush Limbaugh, don’t be blaming the Democrats for destroying the country. Its you, and the crazed bullshit, you spew out of your mouth on a daily basis. If this was Canada, or a few other countries, you would no be allowed to be talking like the way you do now. You would be called on the carpet, and yanked off the air. You’re lucky that dosen’t happen here, but I wish it would.
Novelist Stephen King in Sarasota, FL gave a rousing speech, and digs at the governors of Florida, Wisconsin and Maine.

The sham that was pulled off by the Republicans in Madison, Wisconsin was uncalled for and unethical. Their sole agenda is to rid of the public and private unions, and if the Democrats, Liberals and Progressives don’t stand up and put up the good fight, all will be lost, and we’ll be back to the sweat shop days of the early 1900s, in which time the workers finally rose up, and stood up to the mill owners in Lawrence, Massachusetts that happened in 1912.
